cURL error 77: error setting certificate file

    Hey Folks

    I recently started having issues syncing with the errors in my dashboard

    – Oct 22 2025 02:32:59: Error occurred while checking account status. cURL error 77: error setting certificate file: /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/Requests/src/../certificates/cacert.pem 

    Oct 22 2025 14:24:06: Error occurred while automatically get Access key. Please, get the Access Key from CleanTalk Control Panel https://cleantalk.org/my/?cp_mode=antispam and insert it in the Access Key field

    The key appers correct and clicking the resync button shows that all my forms are protected via the

    But still the error messages continue – Any ideas?

    Its happening across all 5 of my sites using cleantalk.

    Hello @gettingdownunder

    One of these actions may help you:

    1. WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → change the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option → Save Changes.

    2. Check if our IPs are available from your web server: https://cleantalk.org/help/cleantalk-servers-ip-addresses (points 1-3).

    3. Check if CURL support and allow_url_fopen (in php.ini) options are available and enabled on your web server. You can ask your webmaster or your hosting provider about this.

    After each action, click “Synchronize with Cloud” in the plugin settings, wait until the rotating icon disappears, and refresh the page. Also, it is highly recommended to clear the website cache before synchronization.
