    Hello,

We are an online ecommerce shop and we use Woocommerce and GDPR cookie compliance Plugin.

We will start doing some advertising, so I have enabled marketing and analytics cookies categories. In the marketing ones, I have configured Google Ads tracking id and META pixel and they are both configured as disabled be default.

On top I have installed Facebook for Woocommerce and Google for Woocommerce, as they are suggested by Woocommerce to have better ads.

In Google Analytics I could see that I get less purchases that we have, what’s normal because not everyone accepts cookies. So this is the behaviour I would expect. However, in Facebook Events, I can see all the purchases, meaning that the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin is overriding the GDPR compliance settings. I can see in Inspect > Network, that the facebook tracking is firing before any interaction with the cookie banner.

I have already posted in a similar thread for their plugin https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cookies-being-set-before-customer-consent/, but I was wondering if you could also support here.

    Thanks in advance,

    Luciana

    Hi @nlp2016

    Thanks for using our plugins.

As you can see from the forum thread that you shared, the issue is with the ‘Facebook for Woocommerce’ plugin that stores cookies without possibility to reject them.

You would need to speak to their support team and request a guidance or a feature that will allow you to block their cookies before user gives consent.

    Hope this helps.
