Cloudflare IP geolocation

I’ve been using this plugin for a few years and it has worked really well. However, after the recent security issue with the plugin (which has since been patched), I took a closer look and realized that for my particular use case, I didn’t really need the plugin after all.

If you’re using Cloudflare, you already have access to IP geolocation data via Cloudflare’s IP Geolocation feature. When combined with Contact Form 7, you can easily include this data in form submissions using its mail tag functionality.

It only takes a few lines of code to achieve the same result without an additional plugin. I just wanted to share this for anyone who might prefer a simpler alternative. Of course, everyone’s setup and requirements differ, but this could be a good option for those comfortable writing a couple of lines of code and already using Cloudflare with Contact Form 7.
