Clear varnish cache

Is there a way to sync the cache enabler with varnish and flush varnish when the cache enabler is flushed? Varnish is set to a lower TTL hours than the cache enabler, but it would be good if a manual trigger or auto trigger also flushed the varnish cache. Otherwise it would be old in cache until Varnish is flushed or expired.
