Classic Editor still active even if plugin is deactivated

    Hi,

    I deactivated the Classic Editor Plugin (even deleted it), but the Classic Editor is still showing whenever I want to create/edit a site or post.

    I tried the Option to switch to Block-Editor on Settings -> Writing Settings Page that is added by the plugin, but it doesn’t change anything.

    So far I tried deactivating, deleting, re-installing and clearing the browsercache.

    Any ideas how to fix this? Does anyone else experienced the same issue? I could reproduce it on 2 WordPress Sites and I am stuck with the Classic Editor on both.

    Help would be much appreciated.

    EDIT: Found the issue. Was theme-related (avada theme). You need to manually choose Gutenberg when creating a new site.
