child theme ex post
-
My case:
Did already some customizations (Fonts, colors, global settings of blocks typo, templates etc.) without using a child theme.
My questions:
Am I better off or better prepared to work with a child theme, although working with FSE themes does mean, that there are some fundamental changes how themes are generally functioning?
If so, and using this plugin to install a child theme this late:
What is the best step by step procedure to get that set up (i.e. to get all changes moved properly)?
I have tried both fundamental paths:
a) after plugin activation first save all changes to the theme (the current main theme), then creating the child theme thru this plugin (this leaves to empty json and styles.css for the child theme created)
b) after plugin activation, first create the child theme thru this plugin, then save all changes to that child them (automatically activated). This leads child themes json and style.css filled with the changes I made so far, but every time some major changes are missing
