Hi @ralf-r,
Thanks for your message.
Can you tell me which BNFW notification(s) you’re using?
Hi @ralf-r,
To clarify, can you tell me which notifications you’ve created using BNFW 1.9.8 via the Notifications > All Notifications in the WordPress Admin?
Hi @ralf-r,
Thanks for confirming.
Can yousend me a link to a screenshot you’ve taken showing what this notification screen looks like for you?
Hi @ralf-r,
Thanks for the screenshot.
I can see the notification is there and looking correct. I just need to know more about what you want to do with it.
When a new comment is published on your site, this ‘New Comment’ notification will be sent out.
This is to alert anyone about this. It could be the post author, or everyone in the Administrator user role, or someone else.
Can you tell me who you’d like to send this notification to so I can point you in the right direction?
Yeah, I guess, that’s the purpose 😀
At the moment it’s sent to my admin-accounts mailadress, but I’d like to send it to the site-owners adress instead.
Hi @ralf-r,
No problem.
If the site admin has a user account, then you should be able to just send it to that specific user.
Otherwise, you can use the Send to Any Email add-on to just send it to an email address that’s not attached to a user account.
Ok, just that I get it right: Does this mean the notification is by default sent to the mailadress under Settings > General, and any users mail is an “any email”-case?
Hi @ralf-r,
The default one that is sent by WordPress does, yes. Better Notifications for WP allows you to override this and send it to whoever you want instead.
“Better Notifications for WP allows you to override this and send it to whoever you want instead.”
But only via the plugin?
Hi @ralf-r,
Yes, that’s correct. This is one of the reasons why BNFW was created – to allow for more configuration of these default WordPress notifications.
