Change the name of the pattern

    Is it possible to change the name of the created “pattern”?

    In ver.6.4, the title can be changed on the pattern editing screen. But at the time of 6.5-RC2, there is no title field.

    Hi @esparks80 – just to clarify what you mean – this is that when editing the pattern in the editor itself there is no title field that appears?

    Hi again @esparks80 – I’ve been doing a little research and it is a known issue that the title doesn’t appear when editing patterns. There’s a range of discussion in this development/GitHub thread but the short story is that it will be resolved in WP 6.6

    In the meantime – I recommend renaming patterns from the Site Editor pattern list. If you click the button with three dots next to the pattern, you will be able to rename it.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I’m using a classic (non-block) theme, so I can’t use the site editor.
    However, I learned from this thread that the title can be edited using the “Code Editor”.

    I hope that in WP6.6 it will be possible to change the pattern name even in the classic theme.
