Hey @tapsuccess,
Thank you for reaching out! Please check below the answers to your questions:
1) Can I transfer the plugin to another domain?
You can install SliceWP on another domain without any issues. However, if you wish to have all previous affiliate data migrated as well I recommend migrating all of your database tables. By doing this you make sure that you have all data.
2) Can I use the plugin on a subdomain?
As long as the eCommerce plugin you’re using to capture payments is on the subdomain as well, then yes. If you have your eCommerce plugin on the main domain and want to have affiliates on a subdomain, this is not possible.
3) What alternate methods of payment are available for countries in Africa?
If you’re referring to affiliate payouts, we currently support solely PayPal. If you’re referring to payment methods for your eCommerce business, I’m afraid that I cannot say, as I do not have any experience in the field.
4) What methods of payout are available besides PayPal?
Currently, only PayPal is supported for affiliate payouts.
5) Is Stripe accepted for Payment and/or Payout?
I’m afraid not. We currently only support PayPal for affiliate payouts.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
Hey Mihai,
I appreciate your response!
I am rebooting this business after a long absence. Pardon a few more questions. I did look at FAQs on your site and docs here.
- You only support PayPal automatic payouts. I remember payouts could be done manually, Still true?
- Stripe now offers subscriptions. Will SliceWP pay commissions on each month or year payment?
- You recommend an eCommerce plugin. Is this required or just convenient for simple Stripe paylink subscriptions?
Again. Great plugin, and thanks for the super support
Hey @tapsuccess,
Glad I can help you out with information! As for your latest questions:
1) You only support PayPal automatic payouts. I remember payouts could be done manually, Still true?
Yep, still true. You can process payouts manually. For the ins-and-outs of our payouts system, please check this article: https://slicewp.com/docs/paying-your-affiliates/
2) Stripe now offers subscriptions. Will SliceWP pay commissions on each month or year payment?
We do not integrate directly with Stripe. If you plan on using Stripe payment links, you can use our Custom Conversion add-on, however, in this case renewal payments cannot be tracked. Only the initial purchase made by a customer.
3) You recommend an eCommerce plugin. Is this required or just convenient for simple Stripe paylink subscriptions?
SliceWP is built around eCommerce plugins in general. As the eCommerce plugins register all type of orders (new ones, renewals, etc) we are able to connect to these plugins to track orders and correctly reward affiliates with commissions. The vast majority of our feature set is tied to the tight integration with the eCommerce plugins. For Stripe payment links, the plugin does not have this capability.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
