Cart endpoint breaks pages – T24 theme

I am reposting this here, I originally asked at the woocommerce plugin support, who suggested it is a T24 theme issue.

This site is not public because is in development. Not sure what triggered this problem, but is very persistent.

Whichever page my cart endpoint is pointed at, breaks. The header and footer displays, but all other content is missing. This applies to pages that contain only text etc, not only the [woocommerce_cart] page (i.e. point the endpoint at an ordinary page of text, and it breaks too). Cart displays correctly but only if not designated as the end point. All other pages, checkout etc, are working fine.

Pointing the endpoint away from the broken page immediately fixes it, including the cart page.

Disabling all plugins doesn’t fix this. Changing the theme (e.g. to Storefront or T25) DOES fix it. But immediately broken after revert to T24. I have refreshed permalinks, deleted .htaccess, no luck.

Any ideas appreciated, the T24 theme is good for my shop and I would like to use it. Status report below. I can make briefly public if that helps (I’ll just disable payments).
