Hi Andrew, hi Alex! I hope this finds you well and happy.

I’m having two different problems with the widgets (now blocks!) carousel and blog, and don’t know even how to find the sources. Both are around for some time now, possibly before the change to blocks, but I didn’t find the time to cry for help before…

The carousel is in the foot of the homepage. In mobile view it looks ok, but in desktop view is goes infinitely to the right and you never see the arrows. This I believe happened after the change to blocks, but I’m not sure.

The problem with the blog is the opposite. In desktop it looks ok, but in mobile there is a huge space between the image and the title and I have to scroll down each excerpt to see its full text. Obviously I can shorten the excerpts, but they were not like this when I created this blog. You can see the problem in this page: https://vitoletizia.cemap-interludium.org.br/o-pensamento-de-vito-letizia/. I’m not able to say when it started, as I access the site in my mobile only when creating or changing a page or post, and it was done more than a year ago.

I looked around in the forum but couldn’t find anyone with the same problem (unhappily? happily? Unhappily for me and happily for everybody else?). So probably it’s something I’m doing wrong or a conflict or a problem with the theme. Can you help me?

    Best regards!

    Hi Arutha

Thanks for posting your questions. All is well on our side, thanks!

The Carousel’s row looks like it might be set to full-width stretched. Try editing the containing row, opening the Layout section and setting the Row Layout to Standard.

I’ve been able to replicate the blog spacing issue on mobile using the Alternate template. I’ll log an issue report shortly. I’m sure we can have that resolved in the next Widgets Bundle update. Thanks for letting us know about the issue.

    Hi Andrew! Thansk for answering!

The carousel was stretched on purpose, as I wanted it to be a little bit bigger than the container (I have some weird ideas sometimes). But after your answer I solved it giving the carousel some padding (or margin? don’t quite remember) to the right.

The blog spacing issue on mobile didn’t change with the update. Do I have to open the page and save it or something similar?

    Best regards!

Bom dia, Arutha. Glad to hear you’ve made progress with the Carousel’s layout. Perhaps try clearing your caching plugin’s cache to see if the mobile fix for the Blog > Alternate Template works. Thanks!

    Hi Andrew!

Problem is solved. After clearing cache three times without any changes, I went to investigate more deeply and discovered that my hosting provider messed with the cache plugin configuration. I had to unmade a lot of minifications and related changes, but afterwards, finally, the blog spacing is nice!

Thank you for all the help and to pointing me in the right direction!

    Hi Arutha

Apologies for missing your last reply here; I’m really glad to hear you’ve made progress.

I tried to submit a request on the above website’s contact form. I’m not sure if the form submitted as the following message was displayed after submission: Digite seu nome.

I happened to see Alex’s and my name on the Créditos page. While we truly appreciate the acknowledgment and the thought, we’re making an effort to streamline our professional mentions online. Could you please remove our names from the credits page? Sorry for the hassle!

    Kind regards

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew!

In fact I didn’t receive your e-mail in the contact form. I suspect that this will be the next help I will ask of you, as the contact form is made with a siteorigin widget. I’m only waiting for some free time to check everything before bothering you.

I will remove the credits as soon as possible, maybe even today if everything goes well. Oh my, I was so happy to give you some acknowledgment that I didn’t even think to check first with you! Sorry!

    Best regards!!

No worries at all; thanks for your support and for helping out with the credit removal; much appreciated.

If you’d like you could perhaps export the contact page by editing the page, clicking Layouts > Import/Export > Download Layout. Once you have the JSON file on your desktop you could upload it to WeTransfer.com or any similar online location like Dropbox. We’ll take a look at the form and let you know if we can see anything to be changed.

    Thanks again.

Hi Andrew! I finally got some time to do this, but I can’t find Layouts > Import/Export > Download Layout….

Hi! When editing the contact page in Page Builder, if the page is a Page Builder page you’ll see the Layouts button the same toolbar line as the Add Widget button.
