Hi @wordmax
The notice you’re seeing is a standard notification that appears in the WordPress admin to remind you to migrate from v4 to v5 after updating Aggregator. It’s designed to help site admins stay informed and smoothly transition to the newer version.
You should be able to dismiss it by clicking the “X” icon in the top-right corner of the notice.
If clicking the “X” does nothing, there might be another issue at play, possibly a conflict with another plugin or a caching issue. Could you try the following?
- Clear your browser and site cache.
- Temporarily disable any admin interface-related plugins (like admin customizers or security layers).
- Try in a private/incognito browser window.
Let us know if the issue persists after that, and we’ll be happy to help further!
I know all the standard tricks, clear browswer, etc, etc. It’s a bug with your plugin if you check. Can’t dismiss the “still using v4” admin notice by clicking the X close icon in top right of notice.
Test it and and see. Whatever. We’ll use adblocker to fix it until you do.
Hi @wordmax
Thanks again for the follow-up, and I completely understand where you’re coming from.
To help clarify, I’ve recorded a quick video showing how the notice can be dismissed successfully here.
When you have a moment, could you please try following the same steps shown in the video? Specifically, navigate to RSS Aggregator in your WordPress admin menu and dismiss the notice from there.
It’s possible that the issue you’re seeing is due to a conflict with another plugin or admin customization affecting visibility on certain pages.
Please let us know how that goes, we’re here to help get this sorted for you.
