Hi all, My frontpage template isn’t listed in pages because it’s a template named “frontpage” from Appearance/Editors/Add FrontPage Template.
I know I can change the meta description in the html code itself, but that not using Yoast.

How do I integrate my frontpage into Yoast to increase its ranking? Specifically, how do I add my Yoast SEO Title and Meta Description to my front page?

I type an s after mysite.com/s and it publicly displays my sitemap. Is my sitemap suppose to be shown to the public? Does this represent a security hole?

    Hello @stemsrus

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. The Yoast SEO meta box isn’t available at the full site editing template level; that’s what your frontpage is made with. It will only show for the pages themselves. This is on our roadmap, but we’re not currently working on it. Our developers work on the highest priorities first.

Regarding your sitemap, the Yoast SEO-generated XML sitemap is located at yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml, and it will not be found in search results. An XML sitemap is meant for bots not human site visitors. If you find your sitemap in search results, that’s likely generated by another plugin, not Yoast SEO.

Thanks for the clarification on frontpage and Yoast. I appreciate the explanation, and that your plugin is working as expected!
