    Hi,

I am testing using Bricks builder with Fluent Cart and I see that there are some elements available with the integration. I am also seeing some issues fully configuring layouts for templates and some other visual anomalies.

I will start with atempting to set up a template for single products. I can do this and preview but, if I go to the front end and navigate to a real product, I only see the default layout as implemented by the plugin. In Bricks, under Template settings, Conditions, I can select Post type and Product as the CPT. I note though that the default slug for products is item/s (more on this later). I changed to both product and products but none of these seem to resolve the issue of matching the template layout to products?

With the default template for products, if we are using a fixed header on the Bricks build, the top of the content (the title and product image) land up tucked under the top navigation. Note that building a custom template, mentioned above, solves this issue.

Related to the above, and I think I resoved most of this by putting the post content for the shop into a Bricks section/container, but, as soon as I adjust the filter the shop grid results, slide up under the top nav.

In terms of the available Bricks elements, we just about are covered for most design possibilities and, wile there is a product grid offering, there doesn’t seem to be a filter. I am guesing that resolving the above will obviate the need for these?

Getting back to the slug option for products. This is very useful in designating what’s on offer as something more precise to an item for sale. What might be interesting is how we can take a site that already had a CPT for a category that weren’t for sale initialy but now the client wants to sell online. Somthing that could be interesting, if it works that is?

In the upcoming release, Bricks support will be enhanced, and hopefully, your problem will be resolved.

    Thanks Sarkar,

Once these are adressed we will be full tilt into Fluent Cart. The pithch to align posts of another type to become the product type would be a great addition, if such a thing is possible. And, adding aditional custom fields. I hear that is comming as well.
