    Hi,

Please check the bug that exists on Elementor widget – Basic Gallery.
After adding a custom gap between images, that gap on the mobile version is added on all sides of the images and then that page can be scrolled right – left.
On the mobile version, there should be no space around the images, but only below the images. Can this be fixed, to cancel the images side gap for the mobile version?

    Situation:
Add a Basic Gallery, and set the custom gap to 100px. Save the settings and in Inpect select dimensions: Samsung Galaxy S8+ ot on private phone.
    Theme: Hello Elementor.

    Thank you.

  • Hi, I just ran the test and I don’t have this problem. Tested on Android 16 with Firefox and Chrome on this page.

I don’t know what settings you have set, but I have literally tried and created test pages on several sites and it is always the same problem.
I reported the problem to theme support and when they switched the theme to Hello Elementor and saw that there was a problem on it too, they said to report the problem to you.
This problem can be solved if I set overflow: hidden in the container settings, maybe that option is turned on for you, but without it the screen can always scroll right and left.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reporting this.

I have just tried to recreate the issue on my end by adding a custom gap to the Basic Gallery widget in Elementor. I tested it carefully on mobile as well, but I was not able to reproduce the horizontal overflow or scrolling that you described.

To be thorough, I also tested this in a clean environment using only Elementor with the Hello theme activated, and the issue did not occur there either.

Because of that, it is possible that the behavior is being caused by a styling conflict from a third party plugin or additional custom code.

Could you please try temporarily deactivating all plugins except Elementor and then check whether the issue still happens? If the problem disappears, you can then reactivate your plugins one by one until you identify which one triggers the conflict.

Additionally, if you could share a screenshot or a short screencast of the issue, that would be very helpful. It would allow us to better understand what is happening on your site and determine whether this might be related to a specific setting or environment configuration.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Freshly installed wordpress, only Elementor plugin added and Hello theme activated. I am sending you pictures where you can see all the settings, plugins and theme and the final results. See the settings from the gallery and how it manifests on desktop and mobile.

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out again.

It appears that the image link you previously shared has expired, and we’re currently unable to access the files.

Could you please provide a new link to the screenshots so we can continue investigating the issue?

We appreciate your patience and look forward to your reply.

    Hi @saznajmo,

    Thank you for the screenshots.

The page scrolls left and right on mobile because the custom gap you added is applied on all sides of each image. On small screens, this makes the total width of the images plus gaps exceed the viewport, causing horizontal scrolling. The extra spacing on the edges pushes the images beyond the screen, and the container allows overflow by default.

To fix this, you can reduce or remove the gap on mobile, apply spacing only between images, or hide horizontal overflow with CSS.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

    Yes, I reported that.
For Basic Gallery, I don’t see an option to override the spacing on mobile devices. There are no widget editing options on mobile.
Likewise, there is no option to add space on a mobile phone only below the image, but the space is always added on the side as well.

    Please help.

    Hi @saznajmo,

Thank you for getting back to us.
Indeed for the basic gallery there is no option to modify the space specifically for mobile device. However, I tested this on 2 testing site but the space around the image was not present in both of them.

Additionally, the screen recording sent was already expired, if possible can you share it to us again so that we can take a closer look.

    Hi,

I’m sharing the link again, please check it out because it expires in two days.
It has pictures of my settings where it’s clear that there’s a problem.
Just the fact that it’s not modifiable on mobile devices says there must be a problem.

    HI there,

Can you share your page url where the gap is showing so we can inspect using Google Developer tools and see where the gap is comming from.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Hi,

    you can check on moredecore.ba/test

New web site, only hello elementor theme and elementor plugin. One test page and only basic gallery added.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for keeping in touch.

It looks like the gap disappears when loading the page bypassing cache: https://moredecore.ba/test/?nocache=1

Please check on your end to confirm. This suggests that the issue is due to caching. Kindly ensure to periodically clear all sort of cache– WP cache, browser cache, and server side cache.

    Hi,

I don’t think so. I checked this link and it’s still not working. This page doesn’t have a caching plugin or any caching configured.
I tried on two hosting providers and on localhost, same problem every time.
Astra theme support also Tried and same problem.
The problem is in the Basic Gallery widget.

    Hi @saznajmo,

I tested the Basic Gallery widget on my local test site, and the custom gap appears to be working correctly on my end, so I wasn’t able to replicate the issue.

Could you please provide a new screen recording showing how the Basic Gallery is set up on your site? This will help us better understand the configuration and investigate the issue further.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Kind regards,
