Automatic Updates Not Working

    Hi,
    From April (2025) the plugin stopped with automatic update.
    I have tried every troubleshooting suggestion given here.
    The hosting company can’t either finde anything worng either.
    I have tried to remove the plugin, for then to install it again, but still no automatic update are done by the plugin.

    Can you install the free plugin WP Crontrol and let me know if any of your Cron Events are overdue?

    Thank you for this. It looks like your site scheduler is not working.

    Can you try adding the following to your wp-config.php;

    define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true);

    For some reason (I wouldn’t be able to tell you why for you site), your site scheduler is not working.

    Your site site scheduler is responsible for all kind of tasks, like running backups, scheduled posts and updates.

    That line that I gave you to add to your wp-config activates that alternate scheduler.

    No problem, it’s actually a very common WP problem.
