I don’t see the Amazon Ad type available in my install has it been generally released.

As explained in the manual: https://wpadvancedads.com/aawp-amazon/#Create_ads_using_the_Amazon_Products_ad_type

The Amazon ad type is only available when the AAWP plugin is active as well. Do you have this plugin installed and active on your site?
