Admin Cannot Edit Profiles

I have a problem with the admin role editing profiles. For some reason, the admin cannot edit his own profile or other profiles. I have these boxes checked for the Admin
- Can edit other member accounts [checked]
- Can edit these roles only [all selected]
- Can edit their profile [checked]
Then in the Profile form, I have 3 custom fields: Instagram, City, Phone Number.

On the profile page, the admin cannot edit any of these on his own profile or other member profiles. He also cannot update his bio. When clicking Update Profile, it just reloads the page.

Regular users CAN update their profiles and bios.

I’ve uninstalled all plugins and themes and retested, still same issue.

If the admin User has many Roles assigned the Administrator role must have highest priority 90.

1. Try to disable any WP plugin or CDN/Web Hosting server caching for the UM pages.

2. Try to do a Theme/Plugin conflict test if your Theme
or another Plugin is causing a conflict with UM.

Nope, not that either. I even tried removing all my custom functions from functions.php to see if those were clashing and still nothing.

Is there somewhere I can confirm what should be the admin settings? and profile form settings? Because based on everything I’ve tested and ruled out, I’m thinking this is some type of permission issue

I found a workaround…not sure if this is how it should be done…but it works

I created a new user role simply called ‘Admin’ and gave it all permissions with a 100 role priority. Then assigned this UM role to the existing Administrators and now it works.
