This plugin depends on Woo, thus it’s a two-edged sword. If you don’t like to use Woo, then it’s a skip. But, if you are OK with it, I would invest in WPSubscription.

This isn’t a membership plugin per se, but it’s possible to hide content depending on a user role (you need to code that; they will not give you a shortcode or similar, at least not outside of the Gutenberg ecosystem).

If you charge your customers repeatedly, even standard monthly invoicing for your marketing and SEO business, then this plugin can help you set-and-forget subscription. I am looking forward to establishing that.

The thing developers should focus on now is automation. Please, make it work with FlowMattic, create webhooks, and other API features. This is the most important stuff. No one wants to be locked inside the single plugin anymore.
