Every child deserves a safe home.

It’s estimated that 1.8 million children are living with domestic abuse. That’s one in seven children. Your support today could mean another family gets the help they need, when they need it the most.

You’ll be helping children like Isla*.

The first 7 years of Isla’s life were filled with fear. She and her mum, Kate, endured horrific abuse. When they fled, they had nothing — sofa surfing, even sleeping in their car.

“It was one horrible situation to another. I felt like I was being punished for leaving him,” Kate said.

No one should have to choose between homelessness or abuse. With support, we helped them find a refuge, a safe home where they could begin to heal.

But there are so many more children still living in danger this winter. You can help. Support our winter appeal — help families like Kate and Isla find safety.

The scale is staggering. The suffering is real. We must end it.

An estimated 1.8 million children are living with domestic abuse. That’s one in seven.

More children are living with abuse than the population of Leeds and Birmingham combined.

Refuge services in England supported an estimated 11,732 children in 2024-25.

Help keep children safe.

These aren’t just numbers; they are real children who face fear, violence and trauma in what should be the safest place in the world: their homes.

If we don’t hear the children, we will grieve them.

Perpetrators are using child contact to abuse, manipulate, and kill. 67 children in the last 30 years have been killed during unsafe child contact with a known abuser.

No child should grow up in fear. No child should suffer in silence. Every child deserves a safe home.

No matter the size, your gift will be used to transform lives, strengthen life-saving services, and protect the rights and safety of survivors of abuse in the years ahead.

Fundraising keeps our lifesaving support services open. We help thousands of women every year to escape abuse but it wouldn’t be possible without people like you.

When you put on your running shoes for Women’s Aid, you’re joining a nationwide movement of runners dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.
