ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility is very important to us.
Please find a useful list of FAQs below, and please contact us if you don’t find what you are looking for.
Please contact the accessibility team on accessible_enquiries@womad.org, and we will do our best to accommodate you when you are on site.
How to book an accessible ticket
This year we will be working with Nimbus Disability and the Access Card to simplify the booking process for Accessible tickets.
Please see a step-by-step guide on how to book Accessible tickets for 2026 below:
- Buy your WOMAD Festival ticket, you can find these here. Do not purchase a ticket for your essential companion. If your Access Card or WOMAD Festival Digital Access Pass indicates the essential companion requirement, we will automatically provide you with an essential companion ticket free of charge.
- You will need an Access Card or WOMAD Festival Digital Access Pass – you can apply for these here.
How to apply:- Validate your access requirements with Nimbus by providing supporting documentation and information.
- Nimbus will assess your application.
- Once approved, you’ll be issued your Digital Access Pass (or an Access Card if you’ve upgraded).
If you already have an Access Card with Nimbus Disability you can skip to step 3.
- Complete our Accessibility Form which you can access here. Once you’ve received confirmation of your Digital Access Pass (or Access Card) from Nimbus, you can apply for accessible facilities via our form. Please note you must have your Nimbus Card or Digital Access Pass ID number ready – as you will need to input this on your application.
You will receive email confirmation of your approved facilities. If you have any questions, please direct these to accessible_enquiries@womad.org
Personal Assistants and Essential Companions
If your Access Card or WOMAD Festival Digital Access Pass indicates the essential companion requirement, we will automatically provide you with an essential companion ticket free of charge. You can apply for Access Cards/Digital Access Passes here.
You will also need to fill in our Accessibility Form which you can access here. Please note you will need your Nimbus Card or Digital Access Pass ID number ready.
Your essential companion must be willing and able to perform all your requirements and must provide assistance to you during the unlikely event of an evacuation or other emergency.
Please note, If your child or teenager is disabled they will need to be accompanied by an adult over 21. Therefore, you will need to purchase an adult disabled 3 or 4 day ticket to WOMAD to qualify for a free Essential Companion/Personal Assistant ticket.
Accessible Camping
WOMAD has a designated Accessibility Campsite that includes accessible toilets and showers, Event Mobility on site for scooter hire, charging for those who bring their own scooters, a medical fridge, and a dedicated Access Team.
If you would like to request to camp with your friends and family please note that the size of your party will be restricted to four additional people.
When filling out the Accessibility Form let us know who will join your party and the number of tents you will be in.
Facilities
Accessible toilets are available throughout the festival arena, in the Accessible camping area, and at Festival Medical Services.
Medical
Our First Aid tent can store medicines that need to be refrigerated, please let us know on the Accessibility Form if you will need to use this facility. Please check the festival map for locations when it is released.
Mobility Scooters
WOMAD appreciates that some people will arrive and use wheelchairs or mobility devices. If you wish to hire a manual wheelchair or electric mobility scooter, we are partnering with Event Mobility this year. You can hire electric scooters or manual wheelchairs from Event Mobility before and during the festival. To do this, you need to go to their website and book with them directly here
The new site at Neston Park is beautiful, and we are making every effort to ensure that the festival site is accessible to everyone. However, please note that the area does include sloping fields with a range of elevations, and the ground may get muddy during bad, wet weather. If this happens, we will lay metal or plastic trackways where possible.
Please inform us if you need a wheelchair or scooter or plan to arrive with one.
Whilst at the festival, if you need to recharge your wheelchair battery, you can do so at the Accessibility Campsite or plug in at a Viewing Platform when you are out and about.

Distance
If you have difficulty moving more than short distances this process is for you. We have mobility scooters for hire and most of the route to the arena is gentle sloped terrain with small transitions to negotiate. If you need any further information contact the Accessibility Team and they will let you know how they might be able to meet your needs.
Wheelchair battery re-charging will be available at the disabled camping area. Electric scooter/manual wheelchair hire will be available before and at the festival from Event Mobility.
Viewing Platforms
There are viewing platforms located in front of the main stages. Stages with viewing platforms will be shown the map when released.
You will need a viewing platform wristband to access these, which will be included in your Nimbus Access Card or WOMAD Digital Access Pass. Once you have arrived at the festival, you can collect it from the Accessible Camping Area.
Visual Information
For our guests who find accessing visual information a barrier, please get in contact by filling in the Accessibility Form and letting us know if you need alternative formats/guidance. If you need help to do this, or it in an alternative format please contact accessible_enquiries@womad.org
Please note, when at the festival there will be large print programmes at the Customer Care Centre.
Assistance Dogs
If you require the support of an assistance dog, please let us know via your Nimbus Access Card or WOMAD Digital Access Pass, and the Accessibility Form.
Audible Information
Selected performances will have British Sign Language interpreters available, which will be indicated in the print programme and performance descriptions on the app. Search for ‘BSL’ in the search bar in Artists & Timetables in the app and all the events with a British Sign Language Interpreter will come up.
BSL interpreters can also be booked for workshops and stage signings free of charge, on a first-come, first served basis, at the Customer Care Centre.
Standing and Queuing
If standing or queuing is difficult, the Accessibility Team may be able to help. We have shorter queuing lanes available when entering the festival and volunteers available to help if you are booked in to stay in the Accessible Campsite.
There is assistance available for individuals who cannot stand or queue for an extended period of time due to physical limitations, or for those who struggle with the concept of queuing. To request accessibility support, please fill out our Accessibility Form and let us know how we can assist you.
Urgent Toilet Needs
We have a number of accessible toilets located around the site. This year it will be a combination of plastic portaloos and compost loos.
