This year, the lineup for each stage has been announced earlier than usual
The MARINE (Tokyo)/OCEAN (Osaka), MOUNTAIN, and SONIC stages will be lined up with a wide variety of artists, all of whom are unique to SUMMER SONIC.

The special stage with artists selected by Gen Hoshino, “so sad so happy” Curated by Gen Hoshino, which has become a big topic of conversation. The BEACH STAGE on the first day of SOMMER SONIC Tokyo will feature five-time Grammy Award-winning multi-instrumentalist JACOB COLLIER, hip-hop legend ALI SHAHEED MUHAMMAD of A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, and U.S. singer/songwriter U.S.A., a Seattle native named after the Japanese word for “sea”, UMI. from Seattle, USA, CAMILO, a Latin pop artist from Colombia, The three-piece rock band PETROLZ from Japan will also perform on August 20 (Sun.).
On Sunday, August 20, MASAYUKI SUZUKI, the “King of Love Songs,” who has released numerous hit songs both as a member of a group and as a solo artist, and MASAYOSHI TAKANAKA, a legend in the history of Japanese instrumental music, will perform for the first time at SUMMER SONIC. Original Love, who plays a supple groove that echoes the current BLACK MUSIC and NEO SOUL, and HY, who is also the Okinawa Prefecture World Natural Heritage Ambassador and plays a comfortable sound, will also appear at the SUMMER SONIC Beach in Makuhari.

Tokyo’s PACIFIC STAGE will again feature a lineup of up-and-coming artists from Asia, as it did last year. Added to the lineup for Saturday, August 19 are The BONEZ, who have developed an emotional and diverse musical style; PassCode, who release shouts and screams based on a band sound; and TUYU, a music unit consisting of three members: lyricist/guitarist “Pusu”, vocalist “Rei” and piano player “miro”. The first performance at SUMMER SONIC. Don’t miss the live performance by amazarashi, who will project typography and images with a screen stretched in front of the stage for the first part of the show.

KANGDANIEL will perform in Osaka on August 20 (Sun.) in addition to Tokyo PACIFIC to take revenge for last year’s event, and LØREN, who also provided lyrics for BLACK PINK’s album and performed at Coachella 2023, has been confirmed as an additional Korean act for the SUMMER SONIC. The domestic artists include Da-iCE, a five-member dance and vocal group with a four-octave vocal range; Novelbright, whose vocalist Yudai Takenaka has an overwhelming voice that shocks the heart and is known for his melody work and song arrangements; and Tani Yuuki, a 24-year-old singer/songwriter who is the focus of the digital native generation.

Additional artists for the Tokyo Sonic Stage on August 20 (Sun.) include 出れんの!?サマソニ!?（DERENNO!? SAMASONI!? / Audition for SUMMER SONIC） w.o.d., a neo-grunge band that also performed at the 2016's 出れんの!?サマソニ!?（DERENNO!? SAMASONI!? / Audition for SUMMER SONIC） and has grown in stature, will appear on the stage.

In Osaka, MASSIVE STAGE, which features up-and-coming artists who will lead the future of the music scene, will appear again this year. 8/20 (Sun), in addition to UMI, who is also scheduled to perform in Tokyo, TATSUYA KITANI, who provides music as a writer and also performs solo, and Enon Kawatani, who is known for his high taste in music, will perform. RAISAN in addition to these, Raland’s SAYA, who writes lyrics and takes charge of vocals under the name CLR, Kitao Taniguchi’s project Tele, born in the new era of 2022, and UmedaCypher, which has produced nationally recognized rappers represented by R-shitei, will appear in their hometown of Osaka.

Also on Saturday, August 19, we have BREIMEN, a 5-piece alternative funk band that is rapidly gaining popularity, (sic)boy, who has a presence with a style that is a cross between J-rock and hip-hop, imase, who has many viral songs on Spotify and TikTok, tonun, whose sweet, smoky voice and groovy, comfortable tracks are getting rave reviews! ATARASHII GAKKO! are a four-piece dance-vocal unit that stands out with their individuality and freedom.
