Silicon Valley Donor Gives Big Again to Stanford

Few people have done so much for a university as John Arrillaga has for Stanford. But that didn't stop the businessman from writing another big check, this time for $151 million.

The gift by Arrillaga, who made his money in Silicon Valley real estate, edges out another recent donation as the largest cash gift by a living donor to Stanford, said Martin Shell, the university's vice president of development.
