Bilateral relations

On November 13, 2015 the Ombudsman of the Republic of Namibia Mr. John Walters attended the XIII Baku International Conference of the Ombudsmen dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as 70th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations and UNESCO  

On October 17, 2019  Protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed between Azerbaijan and Namibia

Delegation of Namibia led by the President of the Republic of Namibia H.E. Hage Geingob participated in the 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement held on 24-26 October 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
