Twitch has only been around for about five years, but they certainly have done a great job building a gigantic, loyal audience, while staying somewhat under the radar of the mainstream tech media. They didn’t, however, sty off the radar of some of the industry heavyweights, as Amazon won a bidding battle last year and purchased Twitch for almost $1 billion.
So what did Amazon get for all those $$$? The numbers are pretty amazing for a “niche” platform. Apparently, there are a lot of people interested in live streaming video games. Here are some of the more interesting Twitch stats I was able to dig up. As always, I will be updating this post semi-regularly, so be sure to check back in the future for new and updated stats.
This report is a digital collection of the most interesting Twitch statistics I have curated over the years as of May 2018. 52 of them including stats for:
- Twitch Users
- Twitch Demographics
- Twitch Views
- Twitch Broadcasters
- Twitch eSports
- Etc.- all in one place
I try to go through each and every stat regularly and update as much as possible, but we all know that some stats are easier to track down than others. As always, every stat is linked to its original source and has the source date listed.
To get your copy of this stat report, click on the button below to purchase it.
or get it in one of my report bundles:
Bundle 1: Video Game reports (Nintendo, Pokemon Go, Steam, Twitch, Video Game Industry Reports)
Bundle 2: Amazon digital reports (Amazon, Amazon Prime, Amazon Web Services and Twitch).
Please note that some of these numbers are easier to find than others. Many of these Twitch statistics come from the company’s own financial filings, but some are based on news reports and not official company tallies. Basically, this is the best I can find and I don’t guarantee anything to be 100% accurate.
