WR Uprising News: GORGEOUS GREG & BIG WILLY GIBSON vs. MIKE BOOMER & LINK BARNETT

The final match to be added to the UPRISING card will see a first time ever match as Wrestle Rampage’s 2 most established tag teams face-off!
Can the high flying duo of BARNETT & BOOMER pull out a much needed victory against 2 much larger opponents, or will GORGEOUS GREG & BIG WILLY’s experience reign supreme on Saturday night?

WR Uprising News: ROCKY MENERO vs. AJ ISTRIA

January’s RAGE IN THE CAGE saw a match between 2 of Australia’s best who have followed drastically different paths in the world of pro wrestling. With ROCKY MENERO taking the victory under dubious circumstances, AJ ISTRIA has challenged his new rival to a rematch this Saturday night at UPRISING.
MENERO is a 16 year veteran of the Australian Wrestling scene. Having spent a large portion of that time as a main event star, it became evident that wherever MENERO went, gold followed. He recently made his way back to Wrestle Rampage where he expected an easy stepping stone in the form of ex-Queenslander AJ ISTRIA. However on that night we saw a new version of ISTRIA. A tactically dangerous and more determined version of the young man that once stood in that ring. As a result, MENERO was put on the back-foot for perhaps the first time ever.
ISTRIA is a product of sacrifice and the will to overcome the odds. Having travelled to Adelaide to train under HARTLEY JACKSON on numerous occasions early in his career, ISTRIA saw his experience grow during multiple tours of Japan with Tajiri’s promotion WRESTLING NEW CLASSIC. ISTRIA also took on the Submission Grappling circuit of Australia where he refined the inescapable arm bars that he has become renowned for.
ISTRIA has an opportunity to avenge the blemish on his record and place himself another step closer to the Australian National Championship. However MENERO has been here before and if there is anybody who could walk into a match like this confident, it is him.
WR Uprising News: HARTLEY JACKSON vs. HAVOK [No DQ Streetfight]

UPRISING will be main evented by a match that purists of Australian wrestling would be all too familiar with. A rivalry that dates back to 1999, which revived professional wrestling in South Australia and set a new standard for a nation that was starved of talent.
Both HARTLEY JACKSON and HAVOK began their journey together, training under veteran COL DERVANY at the MONSTER FACTORY training centre in 1998. On numerous occasions they fought over the PWSA SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP in matches so wild and exciting that they alone, built a scene of dedicated fans in Adelaide. Their path would include them on the opposite and same sides of the ring, all over Australia. Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, all became very familiar with the two and were always begging for more. Quite simply, Jag & Havok were and are, Australian Wrestling.
In more recent years, JACKSON has taken his expertise around the world, forging a reputation as Australia’s most travelled superstar. HAVOK on the other hand, chose to keep Australia as his battleground, continuing to build on his legacy as a violent brawler, almost unbeatable in no-holds-barred matches. With JACKSON joining TMDK in 2015, and HAVOK being the founding member of THE BROTHERHOOD, it was only a matter of time before their paths would cross one more time.
On March 19th, the match that started a scene 17-years ago will be revisited. JAG and HAVOK will fight in a No-Disqualifications STREETFIGHT!! Do not miss out on the end of an era for Pro Wrestling in the country!
WR Uprising News: TMDK vs. THE BROTHERHOOD [Best of 3 Series]
UPRISING will be headlined by a Best of 3 Series that will see the mighty alliances of TMDK and THE BROTHERHOOD collide!
The two factions first met in 2015 when former allies, TMDK’s MARCIUS PITT and The Brotherhood’s CHRIS VICE, settled their ongoing feud. The match became heated and soon both men were flanked by their stablemates. TMDK won the first battle, but THE BROTHERHOOD would go on to conquer, both in a tag team battle at TITANIUM ARENA in December, and then in a 6-man cage match at RAGE IN THE CAGE. Consisting of some of Australia’s most established singles talent, THE BROTHERHOOD have made it known that their intentions are to destroy the legacy of the world-renowned team, TMDK. However now there will be no power in numbers as each member must face their opposition alone. This is their proving ground.
The first 2 matches of the series will see MARCIUS PITT and current AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION, JONAH ROCK, take on yet to be decided members of THE BROTHERHOOD! 2 straight victories for either team will see the series come to an early and decisive end. If it can go to a 3rd round, it will be decided in the Main Event STREETFIGHT between TMDK’s HARTLEY JACKSON and The Brotherhood’s HAVOK.
Don’t miss out on the escalation of a war that has been tearing WRESTLE RAMPAGE apart! 6 of the world’s very best will face-off live on March 19th @ St. Clair Recreation Centre in Woodville!
WR Uprising News: MR. JUICY vs. DEAN VALENTE

Return of the Juice-y! After briefly stepping away from WRESTLE RAMPAGE to take on the world competitive eating scene, Australia’s most popular super heavyweight MR. JUICY is back and hungrier than ever!
JUICY will take on the ever arrogant rising star DEAN VALENTE who will be searching for his biggest victory to date. ‘The Big Man on Campus’ claims that he has been embarrassing “fat losers” like JUICY since grade school and has no problems crushing his dreams on Saturday night. JUICY on the other hand was a man of few words in his response (he was eating at the time).
Is UPRISING the perfect time for VALENTE to become accustomed to an impending ‘Stinkface’? Or will MR. JUICY’s coming home party be crashed by the Dean of Douchesville?
