Market introduction of Clino Opt 90 – the first fully electronic call system

1983

Market launch of Clino Phon 95 – the first PC-controlled call system with speech functionality

1991

Master station, the first duty room unit with full graphic display and touch screen

1995

Nurse call system Clino Opt 99 with interactive data bus

2000

Care communication system Clino Com 21 enables the integration of various care applications and functions into one system with only 2 POFs (plastic optical fibres) for all services (nurse call, telephony, up to 16 radio channels, accounting services)

2001

Novar plc acquires the companies Albert Ackermann GmbH and ESSER Security Systems and now provides integrated safety and communication solutions

2005

Honeywell takes over Novar plc including the Ackermann and ESSER brands

2009

Clino Life Care (CLC), a common platform for all types of care applications – Ackermann thus expands from providing traditional nurse call systems to providing Intelligent Life Care solutions using standard protocols such as TCP/IP

2009

Honeywell takes over SAS Cythos Technologies, thus adding multimedia applications to the Life Care portfolio

2010

Implementation of RFID technology into Intelligent Life Care (ILC) solutions

Market introduction of iPH / WM Smart as integrated solution a the Point of Care
