The Moderate Party is a centrist political party dedicated to the idea that elected officials should serve the best interests of the State’s residents. For too long, Rhode Island has suffered politicians who pay more attention to interest groups, and our general quality of life has suffered as a result.

We want a government that is efficient, effective, and open. While we preach political minimalism, we believe government should provide basic building blocks for a great quality of life such as an economy that provides good jobs and school systems that provide a high quality education for our children.

The two party system consistently forces the average citizen to choose the lesser of two evils in an election. One extreme panders to the poor through expansive social programs, the other to the rich through tax breaks. This system is great for political fundraising, but it divides the people and does not solve our problems. The real solutions lie in the moderate middle.

It is time to start electing honest public servants whose main purpose is to do the right thing for the majority of Rhode Islanders.
