About Radford™ EZY Net™

Radford™ Ezy™ Net was established by ex-Worcestershire and England cricketer, Neal Radford, in 1993, whilst he was still playing First Class Cricket. Having travelled the cricket globe, Neal saw a gap in the market for a cricket net system that was not static and permanently in situ and would make the groundsman's/caretaker's job easier and less time consuming as well as critically ensuring longevity with regard to the financial spend in netting!

Today, Radford™ Ezy™ Net doesn't just design and build cricket net systems to suit clients needs, but has a plethora of products and systems have been installed across the UK and as far afield as the Caribbean.

CRICKET NETS AND ARTIFICIALS

Are you/Club looking to improve or install new Cricket Practice Facilities. If yes we can help!

We are the Premier provider of demountable/portable cricket nets across the world! We have installed thousands of systems across the UK from private homes, schools and clubs to Test Grounds and as far a-field as the Caribbean. We were the approved supplier to the ICC for the Cricket World Cup 2007 in the Caribbean. PLEASE VISIT www.radfordezynet.co.uk TO SEE PICTURES OF THE NETS IN THE WEST INDIES!

As you will be fully aware, "caged systems" restrict coaches & players from utilizing the space effectively. As they are static, the lanes can only be used for batting & bowling and basically one person at a time.

Our Netting Systems take into account the following:

  • We do not believe nets should be in permanent situ, thereby occupying space that potentially could be utilized for  other activities/sport
  • We understand the issues of vandalism (due to nets being left out) and wear caused by the elements and potential vermin and hooligans
  • We understand the issues faced around maintaining nets (especially on grass areas) - this involves striming, cutting, rolling and covering of the net area - a real pain for groundsmen
  • We believe cricket net areas should and can be used for other activities, certainly on artificial facilities - warm-up area, fielding drills etc., this cannot be accommodated in a "cage" system
  • We understand the issues spinners face when attempting to give "flight" to a cricket ball - cage systems do not allow this, balls end up being stuck in/on the roof net
  • We understand the "health & safety" issues faced when balls struck by the batsman will ricochet off the many poles/metal sections (holding up the caged system) into the bowlers path causing injury
  • We understand the issues of wicket keepers not being able to get into the nets due to the restriction on space behind the stumps - we overcome this as our back net can be "set aside/peeled off" due to large Velcro attachments that hold side nets to back nets.

WE ALSO APPRECIATE THAT THIS IS A SUBSTANTIAL INVESTMENT IN NETTING AND IT IS CRITICAL YOU GET LONGEVITY FROM YOUR SPEND!!

We supply & install a range of cricket surfaces, both woven & tufted carpets, widely used across the UK, by schools, universities, & clubs! We are the only company in the UK that offer a unique 3G Artificial surface for the Bowlers ends (No more maintaining of bowling ends - grounds-man’s biggest & costliest pain) - giving bowlers greater comfort under foot and allowing them to use their cricket studded boots to bowl in (yes no tearing of carpets).

So kindly send the enquiry sheet and we will provide you with experienced answers, with honest appraisal. We will listen to your requirements concerning the size and type of facility desired and potential budget that needs to be worked to. We will then outline the options explaining the merits and possible drawbacks. We will give detailed back ground information and ultimately to go and discuss with your clubs committee with knowledge that with information you now have at your disposal, you can make the right decision. If you would like to contact me direct to discuss such, then I welcome hearing from you.
