Goose Gossage is just one of 20 pitchers in history with 300 or more saves.
Gossage retired following the 1994 season, with 310 career saves and 124 wins. One of his best seasons came in 1980 when he recorded 33 saves with a 2.27 ERA, a 6-2 record in 99 innings. He also finished third in the MVP and Cy Young voting. In his 22-year career, he played for nine different teams.
