Gannett Broadcasting has agreed to sell Multimedia Entertainment to MCA Television Group, a division of MCA Inc.

Multimedia Entertainment is the force behind talk shows such as ''Sally Jessy Raphael'' and ''Jerry Springer.''

Terms were not disclosed. The deal is subject to regulatory approval, the companies said today.

Reston, Va.-based Gannett acquired Multimedia Entertainment a year ago as part of its huge acquisition of parent company Multimedia Inc., which also owned newspapers and television stations.

Included in Gannett's acquisition of Multimedia was Channel 5 (WLWT-TV) in Cincinnati. …
