Glastonbury Festival tickets to be sold in HMVavailable over the counter from WednesdaySunday 8th June 2008 Glastonbury Festival is to put the remaining festival tickets on sale exclusively at seven selected HMV stores. They'll be available to buy simply and easily over the counter at the stores given below from 8am Wednesday 11th June, with ticket buyers merely needing to provide their name, pay across the counter and make sure that they bring personal photographic ID to the Festival when they arrive. This ensures that they comply with the Festival's anti-touting policy. The HMV stores selling the tickets are at: HMV Bristol, 21/23 Broadmead HMV Glasgow, Argyle Street HMV Newcastle, 56 Northumberland Street HMV Manchester, 90 Market Street HMV Birmingham, 38 High Street HMV Cardiff, 53 Queens Street HMV London, 150 Oxford Street A ticket costs £155. Tickets are subject to booking fee, with a maximum of six tickets per customer. (At this moment tickets can still be bought online - the details are below). "With just a couple of weeks to go, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to buy the last few festival tickets", said Festival organiser Michael Eavis. "We've got a fantastic line-up, the most beautiful site in the country and I'd love to see you all there." To see all the diverse and excellent acts - including headliners Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, The Verve, as well as Amy Winehouse, Neil Diamond, Leonard Cohen, Manu Chao, more new music acts than you could possibly see, a dance village covering every genre, and still many hundreds more music acts, circus, theatre, cabaret, poetry, a huge kids field, and weird happenings around every corner - take a look at the stage/area listings, or the Glastonbury 2008 line-ups. Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June, with the site open to ticket-holders from Wednesday 25th. Tickets for this year are still currently available to be bought online, and can be bought by credit card or debit card. All it takes is to register you details with photograph online here and then purchase tickets from www.seetickets.com. Please note that there will be no editing facility for late registrations, so please ensure that all your details are correct, and that your photo is of a suitable size and standard, before submitting your details. Registration, involves filling in a simple form and supplying a passport photograph, and full details can be found at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk. Remember that this year the Festival wants festival-goers to work them to Love the farm, Leave no Trace by travelling light, only bringing what you're willing to carry home.
