JOSH HOOK
HISTORY -
Josh Hook born 9 January 1993 in Taree, New South Wales is a motorcycle racer competing in the Australian Superbike Championship in the Supersport Category. Josh began riding from an early age at the family farm in Taree and first competed on a dirt bike at Taree Motorcycle Club in 2005. In 2007, Josh came 2nd on a CR85 and 3rd on a CRF150 at the NSW Junior State Titles Dirt Track and then went on to compete in the Australian Junior Dirt Track Championship that same year, finishing in 2nd place. 2008 saw Josh move to road racing where he quickly made his mark, setting pole lap records as a junior on a CBR150 at both Wakefield Park Raceway and Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. He finished 2008 ranked 3rd in the MRRDA series and was selected to compete in the Red Bull USA Rookie Cup for 2009. Throughout 2009 and 2010 Josh competed in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and also competed as a wildcard entry at the 2010 Australian MotoGP in the 125CC GP class where he was the first Australian passed the chequered flag, finishing 18th. The highlight of Josh's career to date is becoming the 2011 Australian 125GP Champion. In 2012 Josh is competing in the Supersport category in the ASBK onboard a CBR600RR for Team Honda Racing. BIO -
