After 11 years of Sailing as a team we have decided to call time on our partnership and will not be campaigning towards 2012 together. We have enjoyed sailing together immensely and we are really proud of what we have achieved, we now have different ambitions that we want to pursue whole heartedly and feel it is the right time to move on.

Nick is starting an Olympic 470 campaign with Pom Green trying to go one better then 2004 and 2008 and will be sailing full time attending the main international 470 championships.

Joe is spending the year working within performance coaching and mentoring, including private coaching with 49er Olympic reps Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes as well as working within schools in a multi sport environment. Joe will make a decision on his Olympic sailing future at the end of 2009.

There are many highlights in the time we have sailed together with the three Olympic Games standing out. We are very good friends and would very much like to get involved in other Sailing projects together in the future.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has helped us on the way including our sponsors, Volvo cars, UK Sport, Skandia Team GBR, WNW Design and Holt Performance Hardware.

We would also like to give special thanks to David Cole from Chappell Cole & Co who bought us our first 470 and has been a key supporter/advisor since.
