On February 4, 2010, the Exposition Construction Authority Board of Directors certified the FEIR under the California Environmental Quality Act. The FEIR represents the final environmental document regarding Expo Phase 2. As a result of the Board's approval, engineering and design work will commence and elements of construction may begin in late 2010.
On December 18, 2009, the Exposition Construction Authority completed the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the Expo Phase 2 Project, the proposed extension of the Expo Light Rail Line from Culver City to Santa Monica.
The FEIR examines the potential environmental impacts that may result from the project, evaluates alternatives to the project and identifies measures to mitigate the significant effects. The FEIR is comprised of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) with revisions, comments received during the public review period, and responses to the comments. Expo Board Meeting Regarding Certification of FEIR
On Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the Exposition Construction Authority’s Board of Directors will consider a recommendation to certify the FEIR. This meeting will be held in the Board of Supervisor’s hearing room on the third floor of the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration located at 500 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, 90012. Please note that there will be a time limit per speaker.
