Zeiss Microscopes - A brief histrory

Zeiss Microscopes was the brainchild of Mr. Carl Zeiss from Germany. His company, named after himself specialised in the creation of high quality lenses. The brand was initially famous for creating lenses for microscopes, however, it has also diversified its business plan to include the manufacturing of lenses for cameras and rifle scopes.

Zeiss Microscopes began its humble beginnings when Carl Zeiss decided to open a small workshop after he spent a few years lecturing at a University.  At first business was slow and he did not have that my supplies to begin with. However, slowly but surely, he continued to develop techniques into creating lenses and his business grew.

The breakthrough for the Zeiss microscope came when the Company teamed up with a physicist named Ernst Abbe. Through the joint venture between the two, they developed new technologies in microscopes that were previously never thought of. From then on, the Company grew from strength to strength in the creation of high quality and superior microscopes and lenses in general that have taken the world by storm.
