Bandai today clarified the American titles for the four volumes of its episodic PlayStation 2 RPG .hack, the first volume of which is scheduled to arrive stateside next February. The four games, and the four animated episodes that accompany them, have titles roughly analogous to their Japanese counterparts, the third of which was just released this week in Japan. Here are the titles:

Game:

  • Vol. 1: .hack//INFECTION
  • Vol. 2: .hack//MUTATION
  • Vol. 3: .hack//OUTBREAK
  • Vol. 4: .hack//QUARANTINE

    OVA:

  • Vol. 1: in the case of Mai Minase
  • Vol. 2: in the case of Yuki Aihara
  • Vol. 3: in the case of Kyoko Tohno
  • Vol. 4: Trismegistus
