Jericho Rosales

September 22, 1979 is the day Jericho Vivar Rosales took his first breath in the world. Born in Quezon, Echo tasted success in the glamorous world of showbiz and entertainment in 1996 when he was declared the winner of popular male beauty contest. A naturally talented individual, Echo's acting talent is admired by many of his contemporaries in the entertainment industry.

With hauntingly beautiful eyes, a well-toned body, oodles of sexuality, and a humble personality, Jericho is very easily the brightest movie star shining in the Philippines Movie Industry. Soon after joining Star Circle 4 in the year 1997, Jericho was able to make his presence felt in shows such as Maalaala Mo Kaya (he received an award for acting in one of the episodes), Pangako Sayo and Sana'y Wala nang Wakas.

However, with Telenovela Pangako Sayo, Jericho achieved instant stardom and became a household name, not just in the Philippines but in other South East Asian Countries as well. Soon after he acted in movies such as Panaghoy sa Suba, Tanging Yaman and Nasaan Ka Man, and won critical acclaim for his character portrayals. Furthermore, he was nominated for his role in the movie Tanging Yaman, by every Film Awards body in the Philippines!

Some of the awards Jericho has won are: Most Popular Loveteam, Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Awards 2001; Best Single Performance by an Actor, Star Awards for TV 2000 for Maalaala Mo Kaya episode "Pasa"; Teenage King of RP Movies, 1999 Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Awards; Best Single Performance by an Actor, Star Awards for TV 1998 for Maalaala Mo Kaya episode "Pampang"; Best New TV Actor, Star Awards for TV 1998.

Jericho is a passionate surfer. He also has his own music band, quite aptly named as, The Hunks which includes Carlos Agassi, Piolo Pascual , Bernard Palanca and Diether Ocampo . The Hunks have released their maiden music album under the EMI Malaysia label in March 2006.
