We are proud to announce that the top 4 donors in our Founders’ Beta event “Food for Friends” are now immortalized in the official Hello Kitty Online website! You can navigate to the page on the official website by selecting “Events Archive” under “Community”, and then selecting the Food for Friends button. You may also click this link to jump right to it.

There you will also find interviews with the leaders and representatives of our top guilds, where they talk about their beginnings, the dynamics of their guilds, fond memories, and how they were able to give so much to this event. We’ve also posted the receipts for players and visitors to view anytime they wish.

Hello everyone! First off, we’d like to thank you for all the great feedback and suggestions we’ve been getting regarding the Founders’ Christmas Reunion. Whether through the forums, email or in-game, your thoughts are very much welcome! And now, we would like to post some clarifications for your questions about loyalty points.

The loyalty points available during the Christmas Reunion were given only so that our Founders could experience the Item Mall early. Because of that, unused loyalty points will be erased in Open Beta. However, the items that our players have purchased from the Item Mall may be retained, so please stay tuned for further announcements.

On top of that, we have good news for all our Sanriotown users. If you’ve taken time to check the mail info box that appears when you log-in to Sanriotown, you’ve probably noticed that you have a certain number of “Kitty Points”.

In Open Beta, these Kitty Points will be converted into HKO Loyalty Points. That means, the higher your Kitty Points, the more Loyalty Points you will receive. This will be an active conversion system, so continued use of Sanriotown will earn you more points for the Item Mall!

At the moment, signing up, logging in, sending email through your account will earn you Kitty Points, but we have plans to extend this system to the use of other services in Sanriotown.

As of December 22, 2008 at 23:59 EST, the Hello Kitty Online Founders’ Christmas Reunion has officially ended. The servers are now closed and our players will no longer be able to log in to the game. Before everything else, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported the event, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed our Christmas gift to all of you!

We will be posting some announcements soon, especially regarding the winners of our Saving Christmas event and the Designer Depot events for guild shirts and guild hats. Please stay tuned for updates on the official HKO news blog, and for upcoming events on the official event blog.

As many of you know, pests have now been enabled in our farm system. However, problems with the pesticide prevent them from effectively getting rid of the pests. We would like to assure our players that we are aware of the problem and are working on a quick fix for it. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this bug and the current farm issues.

The hour has come! Hello Kitty Online has now officially opened its doors once more to all its Founders! If you are one of our tens of thousands of players who have been confirmed as Founders, you may now log-in to the game and enjoy the special Christmas quests, maps and all the new features and enhancements!

Thank you for bearing with us through our initial technical problems, but we are pleased to announce that all is well now.

We have a lot of things in store for you in this launch, so feel free to look around and explore, especially in our newest map, New York! Also, don’t forget about the Christmas quest event for “Saving Christmas“!

The upcoming Founders’ Christmas Reunion is not just a chance to celebrate the season with friends, but also a great opportunity for you to test out two key new features in Hello Kitty Online: the Game Profile Page and the Item Mall. Please note that these features will only be open once the Founders’ Christmas Reunion is launched.

Game Profile Page
Players of the Founders’ Christmas Reunion will be the first to try out the test version of the Game Profile Page. The Game Profile Page is a web page that collects your Hello Kitty Online character’s status information.  Previews of the character’s farm, house, videos pet, friends list, and latest blog posts will be shown in this page. Log-in to Sanriotown, and click on the Online Games tab. Please note that this page is only a test version, and as such, does not yet accurately reflect in-game status.

Item Mall
The Item Mall will also be made available for the first time in the Founders Christmas Reunion. Players will be able to access it by clicking on the Item Mall button on the right side of their user interface. All our Founders will be receiving 300 Loyalty Points which they can use to purchase items as they test out the system.

Patching your game client
You will need to update your game to the latest version before you can play in the Founders’ Christmas Reunion. You can now start patching your game client simply by using the game’s auto-updater, or by downloading the manual patch update from the Hello Kitty Online Download Center.

Did you uninstall the game?
If you already uninstalled Hello Kitty Online, you can download the game installer from the Hello Kitty Online Download Center. NOTE: a fresh install will require longer patching time. It is highly recommended that you update your game client ahead of time so that you can start playing as soon as the server opens!

Updates for your game client will be available starting on December 15th 22:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST US Time Zone), 2008. All you need to do is start your game client and wait for the auto-update to complete, it will take a bit of time as it’s a big one. If you already uninstalled the game, the full game client is available for download at the Hello Kitty Online Download Center. Please re-download and install it again, and let the auto-update do its magic! We recommend that you have the HKO game installed and ready prior to the December 15th update.

The Hello Kitty Online Founders’ Christmas Reunion begins December 17, 2008 at 22:00 EST, and will finish December 22, 2008 at 23:59 EST. Please note that Hello Kitty Online will not be accessible outside of this period.

Only existing Founders will be able to play. No new players will be accepted during the Founders’ Christmas Reunion.
