At the beginning we wanted to make something that was "Italian" because of the Olympic games, obviously, but we didn't want to do something too expectable like "Romeo and Juliet". We have found this music that is of an Italian composer, Ennio Morricone. The first time we heard it, we thought "This is the one!". We didn't want to tell the story of the movie, but we wanted to represent Life: Federica is the Soul and I am the Body. This is why we wanted to make Fede look "undressed" - off all material things. This was the idea behind the first costumes. At the beginning my costume was much more flesh coloured, to show that I was "the body"... but we realized it all was not working!
