These chaps are helping spread the word about us. Can you? In print form??
The time has come to get some press.
Books
We've been included in a book about the MySpace phenomenon! It's called 'YourSpace 2' and contains an interview with us about our experience here. Available from Amazon
^ Click here for a podcast interview of Mike Bennion by the
reknowned filmmaker website Directors Notes

Also check out this podcast by the UK's Channel 4 on the topic of film in New Media, we are one of only a few productions to get a mention in a very informative program!
About me:
This site is dedicated to the potential film-in-the-making 'Deadwing'. It contains a constantly updated set of resources and materials, including extracts from the film screenplay (check out the blogs), images, and other visual treatments.
What you won't find here is a complete screenplay or explanation of the film since there are various twists and surprise elements in the script which we do not wish to give away prior to getting the film into production. On the other hand we hope what you do find will whet your appetite enough to want to see the film become a reality.
Using MySpace we would like to create a groundswell of support to bring this project to fruition. We need you to leave comments, good or bad, to help us to continue developing and improving it, and to prove to the money men that there is a genuine interest in Deadwing the movie.
BREAKING NEWS!!
Deadwing Supporters, we're a hit!
We now have the 10th most watched filmmaker clip on Myspace. Out of 23,000!
We also appear to have won the Best Video section of the MyRockin'Profile Awards, with twice as many votes as second place, plus a 5th place in the Best Blog and a top ten place in Best Photo (erm, three times now). Needless to say we are delighted and humbled by your support, we couldn't have done it without you! Another step closer to our goal.
Our pitch is "Don't Look Now meets Mullholland Drive".
Fifty Words or Less:
David is a loner, submersed in his job as a sound designer. Late one
night he spots something in the film rushes that he cannot explain.
This event, and a chance encounter with the mysterious Elizabeth, leads
him down the winding path of his subconscious where he has to confront
his past head on.
Genre: Let's say 82% Mystery, 19% Horror.
The writers of the script are Mike Bennion and Steven Wilson. Mike directs TV commercials, music videos, the occassional short film. Steven is singer/songwriter/lead guitarist of the bands Porcupine Tree, No-Man, Blackfield and Bass Communion.
The Porcupine Tree album 'Deadwing' was largely based on the themes contained in the script, and was released by Atlantic Records in 2005, with worldwide sales to date of 200,000 copies.
Mike plans to direct this movie, Steve to compose the soundtrack (apologies to you fellow musicians, nothing personal.)
Danish photographer Lasse Hoile created the stills you see here, using the screenplay as inspiration.
Now read that script in the blog (it'll take you 15 minutes) and leave a comment. Don't just add us, speak to us. We have trained the computer monkey to reply in picture form to all that leave a comment. Don't leave him idle, or he'll eat us out of house and home.
And if you want to express your support for our project, try to squeeze us into your Top Friends box, or place these ad links on your page by pasting these codes into your 'About You' box and help us spread the word. We thank you!
Who I'd like to meet:
People who want to see this film made.
Producers - Studios - A lead actor & actress
Financiers - Ten percenters
HEY! So aside from posting the script in a billion languages, has there been any progress lately? I'm so excited for this film, I just wish it would get made faster, lol! Hopefully you have a breakthrough soon, good luck!
Hei.........., thank you for inclusion in your circle of friends. Thank you also for the beautiful pictures; images sometimes say, we know, more than a thousand words, isn't it? However, I personally prefer some words addressed to me and I sadly missed them by you. The pictures I will not sett on my profile but just save them for me because they are really wonderful. Have a lovely weekend, Carmen
" I know thee, O glory, Thine eyes and thy brow With white fire all hoary, Come back to me now. Together we wandered In ages agone, Our thoughts as we pondered Were stars at the dawn. My glory has dwindled, My azure and gold, Yet you keep enkindled The sun-fire of old. My footsteps are tied to The heath and the stone . . ."
Angel of Light replies . . .
" Why tremble and weep now, Whom stars once obeyed Come forth to the deep now And he not afraid . . . A diamond is burning In deeps of the Lone., Thy spirit returning May claim for it's throne. In flame-fringed islands It's sorrows shall cease, Absorbed in the silence And quenched in the peace. Come lay thy poor head on My heart where it glows With love ruby red on The heart for it's woes. My power I surrender, To thee is due, Come forth, for the splendor Is waiting for you. "
