HUMBERSIDE FIRE AUTHORITY IRMP MEETING
11 April 2008 - 16:04

Following the meeting today of Humberside Fire Authority we can confirm that 18 of the 19 proposals made by the Fire and Rescue Service within the Strategic Plan were approved. With regard to the remaining proposal, which includes the disposition of resources, further work and consultation will be conducted within the coming 3 months before being submitted to the Fire Authority.

While the acceptance of the majority of the proposals will allow the Service to develop and improve in some key areas, the interdependency of the other proposals will mean we will need to review which strategies are now achievable in the short term.

Frank Duffield, Chief Fire Officer of Humberside Fire and Rescue Service stated:

I am pleased that a significant number of the proposals have been approved, we welcome the opportunity to work with the Fire Brigades Union and other stakeholders on the remaining issues.
