Jesseca Cross - Head Coach
Former Powell High School volleyball standout and 2000 U.S. Olympian Jesseca Cross of Powell has been named Interim Volleyball Coach for the upcoming fall semester at Northwest College.
An All-conference volleyball player while at Powell High School, Cross was selected to participate in the north/south All-Star game. Cross was recruited by Division I University of Wyoming to play on a full ride scholarship, but chose the university's basketball and track programs instead.
Cross is a 2000 honors graduate from UW where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Broadcasting, with a minor in Marketing. Cross is most well known for her membership on the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team in the hammer throw and shot put event.
The last six years, Cross has been a certified personal trainer at the Fayetteville Athletic Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her expertise includes nutrition programming and athletic counseling.
Jesseca brings great athletic and training experience, including working with young athletes.
"I have always been an athlete and person who sets high standards for myself and those around me. We, as a team, are going for a championship. My team will be trained for nothing less than that."
