A Walk to Remember (2002)

A 'WALK' TO FORGET Moore and West play the archtypal good girl and bad boy
A Walk to Remember: Kent Eanes
What begins as ''Pretty in Pink'' without the wit (and in serious need of a Ducky) morphs into a Christian-tinged ''Footloose'' (minus the dancing), before fizzling into a DOA ''Love Story.'' In A Walk to Remember, class outcast Jamie (Mandy Moore) represents redemption in a raggedy sweater for school bad boy Landon (''Once & Again'''s Shane West). You so know what comes next: Bad boy does community service; good girl preaches and -- omigosh -- gets through to him! (And yes, of course Mandy sings!) Too bad the filmmakers forgot that no matter how miserable you were in high school, everyone laughed sometimes.
