Registered with The Civic Trust and active member of the Westminster City Council’s South Area Forum
Since 1961 the KA has promoted the interests of residents, businesses and visitors of the Knightsbridge neighbourhood, one of the loveliest, and best known, localities in London. (Knightsbridge is not a well-defined term but, roughly, it includes the area from Hyde Park Corner on the east to Queen's Gate on the west and from Hyde Park on the north to Brompton Road on the south.)
It is a non-profit, non-political and voluntary organisation.
It represents local interests on all residential and commercial planning applications and monitors licensing applications from restaurants, pubs and bars.
It is regularly consulted by, or liaises with, all those organisations involved in the enhancement, development and protection of the neighbourhood. These organisations include:
- Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
- The Greater London Authority, the Metropolitan Police and relevant Government departments
- English Heritage and The Victorian Society
Why You Should Join
The Knightsbridge Association simply cannot be effective without the backing of people in the neighbourhood - we need your support. In return for your support you will:
Learn about the issues that directly affect you and be able to influence them.
Receive reports which keep you informed of the Knightsbridge Association’s activities. (Click here to see the most recent newsletter of the Association.)
Be invited to attend social events and tours of places of interest in London.
-
Be able to attend the AGM, where you can raise issues directly with local councillors and officials.
