USA Basketball Notes: Averaged at the World Championship 6.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, while shooting a team leading 65.4 percent from the field.. Finished the 2006 FIBA World Championship ranked sixth in field goal shooting percentage. Named on August 17 a member of the 2006 USA World Championship Team. Helped lead the USA Senior National Team to a 5-0 record during its pre-World Championship tour averaging 5.0 ppg. and 3.0 rpg. Named on March 5, 2006, to the the 2006-2008 USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team program. Member of the 2002 USA Basketball Junior World Championship Qualifying Team that finished with a 4-1 record and the bronze medal; qualified the United States for a berth in the 2003 FIBA Junior World Championship. Finished as the USAs top rebounder (9.2 rpg.) and second leading scorer (10.2 ppg.) and shot blocker (1.6 bpg.). Recorded 11 points and nine rebounds in the USAs 67-65 semifinal loss to Venezuela, posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in the USAs 109-70 victory over Dominican Republic.
NBA Notes: Completed in 2005-06 his third NBA season, all with Toronto. Finished 2005-06 NBA regular season averaging career bests of 22.5 ppg., 9.2 rpg., 2.6 apg., And also posted 1.12 bpg., 0.71 steals, while shooting career highs of 50.5 percent from the field and , 81.6 from the foul line. Finished 2005-06 ranked 14th overall in the NBA in scoring, 11th in minutes played, 11th in free throws made, 12th in rebounding, 12th in free throws attempted, 14th in double-doubles (32) and 15th in offensive rebounds. Missed teams final 12 games after suffering a sprained left thumb in the teams March 26 game at Milwaukee. Named a member of the 2006 Eastern Conference All-Star Team, recorded eight points and eight rebounds in just under 17 minutes of action. Named NBA Player of the Week for Jan. 3, 2006. Recipient of NBA's Community Assist Award for March 2005. Started and played in 81 games in 2004-05, averaged 16.8 ppg. (32nd in the NBA), 8.9 rpg. (17th in the NBA), 1.40 bpg. (26th in the NBA), 37.2 minutes (27th in the NBA), posted 32 double-doubles (12th in the NBA). Became the third youngest player in NBA history to record 1000 career rebounds on Feb. 22, 2005, at New Jersey. Recorded 26 points and game highs for 14 rebounds and four steals as a member of the Sophomore Team that competed in the 2005 Rookie Challenge during All-star Weekend. Played in 75 games in 2003-04 as a rookie, averaged 11.5 ppg., 7.4 rpg. (tied for 28th in the NBA), 1.41 bpg. (24th in the NBA). Among all NBA rookies, ranked first in rebounds and blocked shots, second in double-double (13), fifth in scoring, fifth in field goal percent age and fifth in minutes (33.5). Played in the 2004 Rookie Challenge and scored eight points. Named to 2003-04 NBA All-Rookie First Team. First-round draft choice (fourth overall) by Toronto in 2003. Was an early entry candidate for the 2003 NBA Draft after one season at Georgia Tech.
Collegiate
Notes: Played in and started 31 games in 2002-03, averaged 15.6 points, and a team-leading 9.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. Led the ACC in field goal percentage (.560), joining Antawn Jamison as the only freshman ever to do so. Also led the ACC in block shots with 67, was second in rebounding (278), fourth in in free throws attempted and eighth in points (485). His 248 rebounds ranks as Georgia Tech's 14th best single season effort, and his 67 blocks lists tied as the sixth highest for a single season.
Personal Notes: Son of Freida and Noel Bosh, has one brother, Joel. Named 2002 Parade Magazine All-American First Team, Basketball America All-American first team and USA Today All-American Second Team. Named to the 2002 McDonald's Boys All-America West Team, scored 14 points (5-7 FGs) and added seven rebounds as the West was defeated by the East 138-107. As a senior in 2001-02, averaged 20.0 ppg., 9.5 rpg. and 4.0 blocked shots for Lincoln High School (Dallas, Texas), and helped Lincoln to a 40-0 record, the No. 1 national ranking by USA Today, and to the Texas state championship. Earned MVP honors of the 2002 Texas State Tournament, and was named all-state first team and all-district. As a junior in 2000-01, averaged 19.2ppg., 11.5 rpg., 3.0 bpg. and helped lead Lincoln to a 32-3 record and a third place finish in the state tournament.
