Profile:

Launched in 2000, Galaxy 4R is one of PanAmSat’s premier broadcast neighborhood satellites. ABC, Fox, NPR, Televisa and WB have all chosen Galaxy 4R as their platform to distribute programming to their affiliates. Galaxy 4R also enables DTH access by allowing companies such as DirectPC to provide their customers Internet access via satellite.

Galaxy 4R is also the High-Definition television home to the WB HD and Fox HD.  Galaxy 16, when launched in the second quarter of 2006 will replace Galaxy 4R at 99° west.
