According to reliable sources of the Danish newspaper BT, the second Junior Eurovision Song Contest will now move from Croatia to Norway. According to these same sources, the Norwegian broadcaster NRK will decide about the matter today. eurowizja.com reports it will be decided within two weeks.

Initially, the second edition of the kids' festival would take place in the UK, but due to organisational problems it was moved to Croatia a few weeks ago. Now it's said that the Croation broadcaster HRT forgot that the venue they need is already booked in the period the Junior Eurovision Song Contest should take place.

Esctoday.com is awaiting confirmation from the European Broadcasting Union. Stay tuned for more on this issue!

nah, come on.

I'm a great fan of the JESC. The kids are SO much less pretentious compared to the so called "big stars" coming to the Eurovision. The kids write there songs, they are themselves, they don't pretend they are big stars although they are not - like SO many artists do in the ESC.

So for God's sake keep the JESC, it's the best thing happening to the Eurovision since Eastern Europe were allowed to join.

I agree with Stian. There are millions every year who call for the cancellation of the BIG ESC so I think calling for the cancellation of the JUNIOR ESC is a little unkind.

As Ive always maintained when people whinge about television. Noone is making you watch the thing!

I personally tink the more European events the better. Songs, Football whatever!

Pedro Caetano (#15330) · Fri 18 Jun 2004 15:40
A good idea would be cancelling it...

Stian Fikseaunet (#18395) · Fri 18 Jun 2004 12:57
Well just a thinker for all of you childish people in here:

What if all the NONfans of ESC got their will and got the whole Eurovision Song Contest cancelled? HOW would YOU react then?

So since you are not fans of the Jr ESC your meanings will be corresponding to the meanings of the NONfans of ESC.
