What is happening with ActiveShare and ActiveShare.com?
The ActiveShare product is no longer available from Adobe. It has been replaced with Photoshop Album, a new Adobe consumer product that offers even greater photo organization and sharing capabilities than ActiveShare. Please visit the Photoshop Album main page for more information.
Why is the ActiveShare.com Web site no longer available?
Because the ActiveShare.com site was primarily dedicated to hosting Web downloads of the now-discontinued ActiveShare software product, there was no longer a need to keep the Web site active.
Can I still use my ActiveShare product?
Yes. While the Web site has been shut down, you can still continue to use the organizational and other non-Web-related functions of ActiveShare software indefinitely.
Please note that, as of August 1, 2003, neither the online photo services (Shutterfly.com) nor the e-mail features offered in ActiveShare will function within the product. You may still access your Shutterfly account by visiting the Shutterfly Web site directly. Direct access to Shutterfly is also available in Photoshop Album software.
Can I still access my photos that are stored in ActiveShare?
Yes. While the ActiveShare product is no longer available from Adobe, all of the non-Web-related photo organization features within the software will continue to function.
Will I be able to import my photos from ActiveShare to Photoshop Album?
Yes! Photoshop Album can easily import all of your photos currently organized within your ActiveShare software. Simply follow the Photoshop Album import instructions below:
1. Launch Photoshop Album
2. From the File menu item, select Get Photos > ActiveShare Album. All ActiveShare photo albums found in the directory you are searching will be listed, giving you the ability to import them into Photoshop Album.
Photos are imported into Photoshop Album in a matter of minutes and are automatically organized by date.
Can I continue to access my account on Shutterfly?
Yes. The Adobe Shutterfly service is available externally via the Shutterfly Web site. Direct access to Shutterfly is also available in Photoshop Album software.
Will support for ActiveShare be discontinued?
Yes. While you may still use your ActiveShare product indefinitely, Adobe will no longer provide technical support for the product.
