Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures

"Using Business Skills in the Service of Social Entrepreneurship"

The Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures, a major initiative of the Yale School of Management, The Goldman Sachs Foundation, and The Pew Charitable Trusts, focuses on social entrepreneurship in the nonprofit sector. Through an online resource center, The Partnership provides cutting edge research and business tools to nonprofits interested in commercial ventures, while simultaneously collecting data on the performance of these ventures to aid in future research. As a signature event, The Partnership runs the National Business Plan Competition for Nonprofit Organizations, open to nonprofits seeking to start or expand successful profit-making ventures with substantial cash prizes and technical assistance offered to the nonprofit winners. The Competition will open to nonprofit organizations in May 2002.
